Cherokee Trail Elementary was honored to host Mr. Christopher Thomas. Mr. Thomas taught students about the extraordinary life and history of Dr. Benjamin E. Mays. Students and teachers were both excited to learn about an influential individual in American history who grew up not too far from Abbeville County!
A special thank you to Mrs. Chiles, our School Counselor, for organizing our visit with Mr. Thomas! This was a wonderful way to wrap up all of our school activities and lessons surrounding Black History Month!
